# PRODUCTION OPERATOR - SAWS 2ND SHIFT COVINGTON, GA 30014## Description

The Production Associate supports manufacturing operations by assisting operators, preparing materials, moving products, and performing general labor functions. Associates contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality production but typically do not perform primary machine operation.

Typical work hours are Monday–Friday, 3:00PM – 1:00AM., with flexibility required for business needs. Frequent overtime may be required. This is a full-time Non-Exempt position.
* Operate and monitor assigned equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
* Perform basic setups, adjustments, and preventive checks to maintain machine performance.
* Conduct in-process quality inspections and document results.
* Handle raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
* Record production data accurately, including quantities, times, and inspection results.
* Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production targets.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment; follow 5S and housekeeping standards.
* Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly.
* Cross-train and provide support in other areas as required.
* Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.
* Ability to work in environments with extreme heat, noise, dust, and chemicals depending on specialized area.

Saws:
Assists with sawing operations by handling raw stock, sorting cut pieces, and banding/bundling finished material.## Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience helpful but not required.
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong attention to safety and quality.
* Ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
* Willingness to cross-train and learn new tasks.
* Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.
