AWS is looking for a Network Deployment Build Lead to join our growing infrastructure operations team. You will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and help develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Responsibilities- Managing work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
- Collaborating with stakeholders to remove project obstacles
- Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
- Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking for new equipment
- Participating in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
- Provide management and support of AWS s network infrastructure and establish/refine operational procedures
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with after-hours support as needed
- Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours per day
- Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely

- This role is based in Covington, GA, with reporting responsibilities to Lithia Springs, GA and Downtown Atlanta for a minimum of six months.
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- Data center experience and industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., VFLs, OTDR, power meters)
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies (Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls)
- Knowledge of command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
