This contract opportunity places you at the forefront of advanced air mobility production, supporting electromechanical system integration within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
SummaryThe Production Systems Specialist provides hands‑on technical expertise and leadership in the build, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft electromechanical systems. Working closely with engineering and production teams, this individual ensures accurate installation, integration, and compliance of electrical and mechanical systems during aircraft assembly and development.
This is a senior‑level production role requiring deep aerospace experience, strong diagnostic capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering teams in the development and implementation of aircraft electromechanical systems
- Provide technical leadership on the production floor and mentor team members in troubleshooting and best practices
- Perform aircraft build‑up and modifications involving electrical components including:
- Wire harness fabrication
- Connector terminations
- Component removal and replacement
- Routing, installation, and repair
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis across aircraft systems
- Interpret and execute work using modification drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, engineering dispositions, and parts kits
- Utilize ground support and test equipment to validate system functionality
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and regulated aerospace manufacturing standards
- Maintain strict adherence to aircraft safety protocols, FOD prevention, and tool control requirements
- Support configuration management and conformity processes as required
- 8+ years of aerospace experience in production, systems integration, or aircraft manufacturing
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong hands‑on experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling
- Proven experience working in a product development or new aircraft build environment
- Understanding of AS9100 quality requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical and electromechanical systems
- Ability to provide off‑hours or on‑call support when needed
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite and production documentation systems
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment with shifting priorities
- Must be able to distinguish colors
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Manufacturing or related field
- Knowledge of IPC 610/620 and AC43.13‑B standards
- A&P certification
- Experience with MES systems and building structured work instructions
- Experience with electric aircraft platforms
- Experience with high‑voltage wiring, battery systems, and electric motor controllers
- Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience
