Product Development Engineer

Location: Covington, GA

This is a W2 contract role – C2C & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered

This advanced technician role supports early-stage product development and prototyping. Ideal candidates for this role will have hands‑on experience with electronics, instrumentation, and software tools to assist in building and testing innovative medical devices.

• Design and build prototype systems using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms
• Develop and execute test setups involving sensors, actuators, and data acquisition systems
• Use LabVIEW or similar software for automated testing and data logging
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in prototype systems
• Specify and source instrumentation, as needed, to implement test procedures
• Interface with engineering teams to refine designs and test plans
• Maintain and calibrate lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, pressure sensors, etc.)
• Document test results and provide technical feedback to support design iterations

• 2+ years of experience in a technical lab or prototyping environment
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, Arduino, and basic circuit design
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical lab tools and instrumentation
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with CAD or PCB design tools preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or other related field
