Overview

Piedmont Oncology, Piedmont Healthcare’s newly reorganized cancer program, is recruiting a board certified/board eligible medical hematology/oncology physician for its Piedmont Newton Hospital location in Covington, GA. This position will support a rapidly growing and evolving cancer program both locally and across the 23-hospital system. This new physician will support and expand the clinical excellence aligned with discovery and innovation associated with Piedmont Oncology.

Located just moments from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and downtown Atlanta, Fayette County offers access to great schools (public and private), housing at multiple price points, and extensive recreational and social activities.

Responsibilities

The successful physician will support and expand clinical excellence aligned with discovery and innovation across Piedmont Oncology, collaborating with other providers locally and across the Piedmont Oncology network. This role includes clinical care responsibilities and opportunities to participate in and lead research and care pathway initiatives across the system.

Qualifications
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in medical hematology/oncology
  • Georgia medical license (required or pending as applicable)
  • Strong communication skills and genuine compassion for patients and families
  • Willingness to participate in and lead research and care pathway initiatives across the system
