Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.
