Area Supervisor

Ross Store Area Supervisor – Anaheim, California

Ross Stores, Inc. is a Fortune 500 off‑price retailer with 2,200+ stores. The Area Supervisor is a frontline leader responsible for opening and closing the store, supervising associates, and executing company operational processes.

• Safety & Security – Maintain a safe environment, monitor the sales floor, secure the entry/exit points, verify EAS devices, and respond to alarms.
• Customer Service – Treat all customers and associates with respect, demonstrate courtesy, and promote the Ross brand.
• Merchandising & Loss Prevention – Ensure merchandise is received, processed, and presented to company standards; manage the loss prevention program and secure all store areas.
• Front‑End Operations – Oversee cash register operations, train associates in cash handling, maintain equipment, and keep the front‑end organized and productive.
• Administrative Duties – Manage cash pulls, bank deposits, payroll scheduling, and other store manager assigned tasks.

• Excellent verbal communication and fluent in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail applications.
• Strong basic mathematical skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

• Standing, walking, and moving for the entire shift (up to 100% of work time).
• Regular handling of waist‑deep pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 25 lbs; stockroom shifts may require up to 20 lbs.
• Use of janitorial or warehouse equipment as needed.
