Caregiver - Full Time, Steady Hours (Tandem Care)
$18–$20/hr | 6+ Hour Shifts | Full-Time & Weekend Caregivers
Are you a caregiver who values consistency and connection — but also has the skills to support clients with a wide range of care needs? Tandem Care is hiring compassionate, experienced caregivers for our Companion Care program, supporting seniors who want to age comfortably and safely at home.
About This RoleAt Tandem, “Companion Care” refers to longer-term, assignment-based roles. That means you'll work regular, recurring shifts (minimum 6 hours) with one or two clients each week. While some people hear “companion care” and think it's just social — this is full-scope non-medical caregiving. You'll help with personal care, mobility, safety, meal prep, light housekeeping, and more.
We'll match you with clients based on your availability, preferences, and experience — and we provide real support from a team that knows your name.
This role is a great fit if you- Want a consistent schedule and long-term client relationships
- Prefer 6+ hour shifts with just 1–2 clients
- Are comfortable with hands-on personal care and dementia support
- Have weekday availability (ideally 5 days/week) or full weekend availability
- Are patient, reliable, and proactive
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Only want on-call, overnight, or occasional shifts
- Are not comfortable helping with bathing, hygiene, or incontinence care
- Can't commit to a steady schedule each week
- Don’t drive or lack access to reliable transportation
- Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in California and a completed Live Scan background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Smartphone (iPhone or Android) to access scheduling and communication apps
- Strong communication skills and reliability — our clients count on you
