About this Role
As a Customer Service Executive within our Truck and Trailer division, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality rental and contract hire service to businesses across your designated area. Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of fleet operations, inspections and branch administration to ensure our trucks and trailers remain fit for hire, compliant and customer-ready at all times.
- Conduct detailed vehicle check-out and check-in inspections, ensuring damage is identified, documented and communicated immediately.
- Manage MOT schedules, planned maintenance and recall notifications to minimise downtime and ensure full legislative compliance.
- Liaise with Engineering, Fleet Quality Services and Fleet Services to coordinate repairs and control costs in line with maintenance guidelines.
- Complete accurate rental agreements and support invoicing, including customer recharges with full authorisation.
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries and collections, planning effectively to reduce cost and maximise utilisation.
You will be confident, organised and customer-focused, with the ability to balance firmness and diplomacy when managing damage discussions and recharge authorisations. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment and takes pride in maintaining high operational standards.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Experience in customer service or a similar operational environment.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to inspect vehicles, carry out routine cleaning and support basic maintenance requirements.
