7.5 TONNE DRIVER

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 tonne driver to join our well‑established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Start Times: 06:00 - Guaranteed 11 hours pay per day

Pay rate: £14.05 per hour

• Delivering in a team to stores and homes
• Operate and drive various 7.5 tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed

• Hold a valid UK Category C1 licence
• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving C1 vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC card and UK Digi card
• Must be able to speak and read at a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time‑keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles
• Previous experience with multi‑drop deliveries

• Driver's assessment will have to be completed
• After successful assessment, there will be a one‑day paid induction
• Industry‑related training and support throughout
