Facilities Maintenance Electrician

Are you a qualified Maintenance Electrician with experience in facilities and building services? We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Electrician to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a busy manufacturing site in Coventry. This role focuses primarily on site-wide electrical infrastructure, building services, and facilities maintenance rather than production machinery. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the workplace remains fully operational, compliant, and safe for all employees.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on site electrical systems and building services.

• Maintain and fault-find on lighting systems, emergency lighting, power distribution, and small power circuits.

• Inspect, test, and maintain electrical panels and distribution boards.

• Support maintenance of HVAC systems, extraction systems, and associated controls.

• Conduct periodic electrical inspections and ensure compliance with current regulations.

• Respond promptly to facilities-related breakdowns and maintenance requests.

• Liaise with external contractors for specialist services and oversee works when required.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation.

• Assist with minor mechanical and general facilities tasks when necessary.

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential or highly desirable).

• Experience working within a facilities, building services, or industrial site environment.

• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and building infrastructure.

• Experience with emergency lighting testing and compliance checks.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and building layouts.

• A proactive, safety-first mindset with strong fault-finding skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with contractors and internal teams.
