Commercial Gas Engineer

Overview

We are working with a well-established facilities and engineering services provider who is looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to support service, maintenance and reactive works across a national commercial portfolio. This is a mobile role covering warehouses, offices and retail premises throughout the UK, working on a wide range of commercial and some domestic gas systems.

• Service, maintain and fault-find on commercial heating systems including boilers, burners and warm air heaters
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
• Complete Gas Safety Certificates and service documentation electronically
• Diagnose faults across various manufacturers' equipment and rectify efficiently
• Install new heating and hot water systems when required
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for parts, warranties and technical support
• Provide high levels of customer service while representing the business professionally
• Participate in the on-call rota (nights and weekends - paid at premium rates)
• Work away from home when required (accommodation provided)

• Commercial Gas Safe Registered
• Valid UK driving licence
• Commercial gas qualifications (domestic desirable)
• Experience with air handling and ventilation systems
• IPAF and PASMA (essential due to high-level radiant heater work)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to travel and overnight stays
• High standards of workmanship and compliance

• £22.30 per hour
• Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week (£43,485 per annum)
• Overtime paid at time and a half (OTE £45k-£55k)
