Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Joiner on a permanent basis. The position for the Joiner will need to ensure the delivery of high-quality work into Residential Care Homes from Wakefield/ Derby to Buckinghamshire.

The Joiner will be responsible for:
Completing and documenting fire risk assessments, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
Carrying out fire door inspections, repairs, and adjustments to maintain safety standards.
Undertaking joinery works including fitting doors, frames, locks, furniture, and fixtures.
Responding promptly to maintenance requests from care home managers, prioritising urgent safety-related issues.
Supporting external contractors when on site and ensuring works meet compliance standards.
Maintaining tools, equipment, and documentation in line with health and safety requirements.
Travelling regularly across the assigned region with flexibility to support different care homes as needed.

The Joiner will need:
NVQ in Joinery
Proven experience in Joinery and General Maintenance
Experience in fire risk assessments and knowledge of fire safety regulations
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with care home staff and residents.
Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region.
