Flooring Operative

Job Overview

The Flooring Operative is responsible for delivering high‑quality flooring installation and repair service across Warwick University’s estate. The role involves preparing, installing, and repairing a range of floor coverings—including carpet tiles, laminate, vinyl, engineered wood and other specialist finishes—ensuring all works meet the University’s rigorous standards and statutory health and safety regulations.

• Install, maintain and repair floor coverings across the University estate.
• Contribute to the planned preventative maintenance programme and support reactive repair works.
• Assess existing floor conditions and identify remedial work in close collaboration with supervision and maintenance team members.
• Provide planned flooring and reactive remedial flooring service, assist other trades where necessary to keep essential facilities open and usable and ensure compliance with statutory testing and inspections.
