Overview
We are looking for a great Key Accounts Manager to join our highly successful team. This field-based role covers the whole of the UK, so you will need a current driving licence as well as a willingness to travel and stay away from home as needed.
You will be responsible for developing and nurturing long-term relationships within a portfolio of nominated key accounts and prospects to ensure that the business is well-placed to maximise volumes and margins on vehicles in line with the current business plan. Relationship management goes beyond negotiations on sales; you will be actively involved in ensuring customer satisfaction across all aspects of the business relationship, by working closely with all other departments to proactively manage all business interactions and resolutions.

Maintaining correct levels of contact with the respective dealers to provide professional support to the Key Accounts and ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction. You will provide concise reports on all key fleet activities including forward order predictions, market information, and highlighting potential sales opportunities. You will utilise the Company’s integrated IT tools to ensure swift and accurate responses to requests for quotation and movement through the sales process to build, deliver and invoice.
You will negotiate agreements with a portfolio of accounts and work collaboratively with other departments to meet customer needs. You will ensure successful application and continued fulfilment of the agreements signed, including delivery of vehicles into service; securing aftermarket support; evaluating customer satisfaction; and developing and implementing corrective action plans where necessary.
- Experience in high-value sales and knowledge of complex commercial sales offers
- Proven experience in relationship management with a good general knowledge of legal and financial rules associated with key account protocols
- Ability to present and communicate at all levels and with all audiences
- Commercially aware with strong strategic thinking
- Great negotiator with the ability to influence other business areas
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable with regular travel
