Water Quality Assurance Specialist – Severn Trent

100 utility company based in the Midlands, dedicated to delivering safe and reliable water across the region. Our Water Quality Assurance Specialist will support the upcoming mains renewal programme by ensuring all water quality processes meet strict regulatory standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the water quality process for the mains renewal function.
  • Ensure all water quality processes are followed and compliance standards are met.
  • Provide accurate, timely water quality results to enable construction work to progress.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis on network customer investigations.
  • Drive improvements across Water Quality through operational improvement activities.
  • Guarantee good quality drinking water across all mains renewal schemes.
  • Support water mains for the renewal projects with extensive water quality requirements.
  • Carry out continuous and ongoing checks across all Mains Renewal programmes.
What You'll Bring To

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the operational water quality processes required to maintain an excellent distribution system. They must be capable of ensuring all mains renewal projects meet water quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key strengths include the ability to prioritise and balance a reactive workload with demanding turnaround times, strong analytical skills to identify underlying causes from large datasets, excellent communication skills to convey technical issues to various stakeholders, and influencing and negotiating abilities to secure key activities.
