Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm

Salary:
£19.59 per hour + time and a half overtime

Key Responsibilities of a Machine Shop Team Leader / Engineering Team Leader:

• Leading daily shift briefs and ensuring production runs to schedule
• Managing a team of around 25 employees across milling, turning and assembly
• Overseeing holidays, attendance and conducting performance conversations
• Supporting disciplinary processes where required
• Monitoring output and interpreting production KPIs
• Using the ERP system (Sightline training provided)
• Driving productivity, pace and accountability across the shop floor
• Escalating issues promptly to maintain performance and quality standards

Key Skills of a Machine Shop Team Leader / Engineering Team Leader:

• Experience managing a sizeable team within an engineering, production or manufacturing environment
• Confident leading performance discussions and holding teams accountable
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Good IT skills and confidence using ERP systems and Excel
• A practical, hands-on leadership style suited to a direct shop floor environment
• Resilient, organised and people-focused approach
