HTRC Technician

Overview

HTRC Technician role at MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre.

Location:

High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC), Ansty Park, Coventry.

Contract:

Permanent — 36 hours per week. Benefits:

• Operate bridgeman-style furnaces
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Perform inspection processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery
• Follow work instructions and route cards accurately
• Care for casting equipment, including preventative maintenance
• Support manufacturing engineers with cost estimates and lead times
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Experience in vacuum furnace operation (vacuum systems, temperature control, inert gas usage)
• BTEC/Level 3 qualification in engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Hands-on problem-solving approach with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good computing skills (Excel)

• Knowledge of lost wax processing techniques
• Foundry or maintenance experience
• Experience operating large technical equipment
• Analytical skills using multiple data sources
