Warehouse team managers

We're looking for warehouse team managers to join our team in the Coventry depot. You'll be responsible for a sizeable team of warehouse operatives, making sure that all products are picked and packed in a safe and secure manner. We'll look for you to engage with your team; leading and coaching them to deliver better results week on week, along with making sure that they adhere to working standards, policies and procedures.

A warehouse colleague will be responsible for moving products around the warehouse—picking items our stores have ordered and loading the delivery vehicles. Our LGV Drivers are responsible for getting products to our stores when our customers need them. Whichever role you choose, you'll find plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and build a career in logistics. Leading a team in one of our warehouse departments, you'll be responsible for running the operation in your area while on shift.

As a team manager there's lots of variety, making every day different. As a shift manager at Co‑op you'll be responsible for leading the full operation of your department while on shift. From coaching and training your team to managing costs and budgets while meeting tight deadlines, it’s a big challenge—but a rewarding role with plenty of opportunities to develop your career as a Co‑op leader in logistics and beyond.

As a warehouse/transport manager you’ll be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, from the moment a product arrives at the depot to when it leaves for stores. You’ll lead over 600 colleagues and as a senior leader in the depot you’ll also get involved in national projects and work closely with leaders from other Co‑op sites.

• Previously managed a sizeable team, preferably from a logistics or FMCG background
• The ability to work at pace and accuracy
• A great track record of reaching and exceeding critical performance measures
• An understanding and great knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
• Great planning skills and able to organise your own and team’s workload
• An understanding of how poor service can impact stores and customers
• Strong and confident communication skills
• Excellent IT skills

• Day shift – 6 am to 2 pm, £28,000 – £34,400 per annum plus great benefits
• Back shift – 2 pm to 10 pm, £32,200 – £39,560 (inclusive of 15 % shift premium) per annum plus great benefits
• Night shift – 10 pm to 6 am, £35,000 – £43,000 (inclusive of 25 % shift premium) per annum plus great benefits
• 39 hours per week, 5 over 7 days including weekends
