Overview
A registered manager is responsible for the overall leadership and day to day management of a care service, ensuring safe high quality and person centred care is delivered in line with regulatory requirements. The role includes managing and supporting staff, overseeing recruitment training and supervision, developing and reviewing care plans and policies, ensuring safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a positive culture of dignity respect and continuous improvement.
The registered manager is also responsible for compliance with CQC standards, liaising with professionals and families, and ensuring the service meets the needs of people who use it.
- Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service
- Ensure the service meets all CQC regulations and fundamental standards
- Lead on safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Recruit, train, supervise and support care staff
- Ensure safe care delivery through robust care planning and risk assessment
- Maintain accurate records and effective governance systems
- Manage rotas, capacity and staffing to ensure continuity of care
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, commissioners and professionals
- Handle concerns and complaints in line with policy and regulation
- Promote a positive, open and person-centred culture
- Registered Manager or eligible to register with CQC
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and domiciliary care standards
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Commitment to person-centred and ethical care
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Proven experience in a management or senior role within domiciliary care
- Experience leading, supervising and developing care staff
- Experience with CQC inspections and compliance processes
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance
