Neighbourhood Officer (Housing)
£22.68 per hour (LTD)
3-month temporary contract (potential extension)
Service Care Solutions are working with a respected housing provider to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to manage a defined patch and deliver high‑quality neighbourhood and tenancy management services. This is a customer‑facing role focused on ASB case management, estate inspections, tenancy enforcement and proactive neighbourhood management, ensuring communities are safe, well‑managed and places residents are proud to live.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a patch‑based caseload, including anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases from initial report through to resolution
- Carry out regular estate inspections, identifying issues and working proactively to resolve them
- Manage tenancy changes and enforce tenancy conditions where breaches occur
- Gather evidence for ASB cases, including witness statements and impact statements, and liaise with legal teams where required
- Work to resolve ASB without legal action where possible, using the full range of tools available
- Provide clear tenancy advice and guidance in line with legislation and internal policies
- Deal with abandoned properties, sub‑letting, illegal occupation and end‑of‑tenancy processes
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies and external stakeholders
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, reported and managed appropriately
- Contribute to performance reporting and work towards agreed targets and KPIs
- Experience working within a housing management / neighbourhoods / tenancy role
- Strong understanding of tenancy conditions and enforcement processes
- Working knowledge of the legal framework around ASB
- Confident communicator, able to handle sensitive and challenging conversations
- Experience working with customers, colleagues and partner agencies
- Strong organisation skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
- IT‑literate, with experience inputting and analysing housing data
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- A customer‑focused approach, with resilience and professionalism
- Competitive £22.68 LTD rate
