A highly regarded school in Coventry is seeking a reliable, practical, and enthusiastic Caretaker to join its dedicated and supportive site team.

Our client is looking to appoint a Caretaker to start in January 2026. The successful Caretaker will play a key role in the day‑to‑day maintenance, security, and presentation of the school site, ensuring it remains a safe, clean, and well‑maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The Caretaker will be responsible for a range of duties including:

• Opening and closing the school site, including key holding and security checks
• Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and health & safety checks
• Maintaining school buildings and grounds to a high standard
• Setting up rooms for lessons, exams, and school events
• Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
• Supporting health & safety and safeguarding procedures

• Previous experience in caretaking, site maintenance, or a similar role (school experience desirable)
• Practical skills with the ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
• Good knowledge of health & safety practices
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Legal right to work in the UK
• A proactive, reliable, and team‑oriented approach

Location: Coventry, West Midlands

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
