Private Family Solicitor

Simpson Judge have partnered with a well established multi service Coventry firm who are seeking a motivated and compassionate Family Law Solicitor to join their established Family & Divorce team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and highly regarded practice, advising clients on a wide range of private family law matters.

The role involves managing your own caseload, delivering clear and practical advice, and working closely with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for clients during what can be a challenging and emotional time.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters
  , including:
• Divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships
• Child arrangements and parental responsibility
• Specific Issue and Prohibited Steps Orders
• Cohabitation disputes and advice for unmarried couples
• Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
• Proving clear, sensitive, and pragmatic legal advice tailored to individual client needs
• Drafting correspondence, court documents, and agreements to a high standard
• Conducting negotiations and representing clients in court where required
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Contributing to the development of the Family team and the firm’s reputation
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards
• Participating in business development, networking, and client care initiatives where appropriate

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent qualification)
• Experience in private family law
• Ability to manage a caseload independently
• Strong communication and client-care skills
• A practical, solution-focused approach
• Excellent drafting and organisational skills
