Family / Childcare Legal Assistant – Coventry – £24,000 to £26,000

The Firm

My client is a long-established and highly respected regional law firm with a strong presence in Coventry and the surrounding areas. The firm is known for its high standards of client care, clear communication and supportive internal culture. With Lexcel accreditation and a strong local reputation, the firm combines a professional, well-structured working environment with a genuinely approachable and people-focused ethos, particularly within sensitive practice areas such as Family and Childcare law.

The Role
  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to a Lawyer within a busy Family department
  • Supporting a caseload predominantly involving childcare matters
  • Audio typing using digital dictation
  • Managing diaries, appointments and day-to-day workflow
  • Liaising with clients by telephone and face-to-face in a professional, calm and sensitive manner
  • Dealing with courts, counsel and other solicitors
  • Preparing and processing Legal Aid documentation
  • Collating court bundles and managing filing
  • Assisting with general administrative duties within the department
  • Full-time, office-based role in the Coventry office
You
  • Well-organised with a strong attention to detail
  • A clear and confident communicator with a professional and compassionate approach to client care
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment and meeting deadlines
  • Responsible, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Previous experience in legal administration or within Family / Childcare law would be advantageous, though not essential
