Overview

E-commerce Executive

Location:

Coventry (Hybrid) We are recruiting an E-commerce Executive on behalf of a fast-growing, multi-brand online retailer. This role will support the performance and ongoing optimisation of three Shopify websites, with a strong focus on merchandising, UX, SEO and conversion rate optimisation. Working closely with Marketing, Buying, IT, Web Development, the Contact Centre and external agencies, you will help deliver a seamless, high-performing online customer journey for both residential and trade customers.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role suited to someone analytical, organised and passionate about e-commerce best practice.

Responsibilities
  • Support new product launches across multiple websites in collaboration with Product and Buying teams
  • Maintain and optimise on-site merchandising, including categories, navigation, filters and search settings
  • Execute promotional activity and campaigns, ensuring accuracy and commercial effectiveness
  • Analyse customer behaviour and website performance to identify UX and conversion opportunities
  • Produce actionable UX and CRO recommendations using tools such as GA4 and Clarity
  • Conduct competitor research to support optimisation initiatives
  • Create wireframes and support A/B testing and personalisation activity
  • Ensure all on-site content is SEO-ready and aligned with best practice
  • Work with marketing teams and agency partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand content and assets
  • Support SEO improvements across product, category and landing pages
  • Track and report on website and campaign performance
  • Use insight to inform future activity and support the digital roadmap
  • Work with IT and Web Development teams to implement website improvements
  • Partner with the Contact Centre to feed customer insight into UX enhancements
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to align trading and content strategies
Essential
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment
  • Strong working knowledge of a CMS (Shopify preferred)
  • Experience managing product data and supporting new product launches
  • Confident using analytics and UX tools (GA4, Looker Studio, Ahrefs, Clarity)
  • Understanding of CRO principles, SEO fundamentals and UX best practice
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
Desirable
  • Experience supporting A/B testing programmes
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
