University of Warwick Campus, Coventry Department Information & Digital Group - Infrastructure & Operations Position Type Fixed Term Duration 20 Month Fixed Term Contract until 31st October 2027 Salary £47,389 to £56,535 per annum

About the Role

Post holders will play a key role in delivering a reliable, secure, and high-performing network across the campus. As part of the Network and Infrastructure Product Team, you’ll design, implement, maintain, optimise, and improve the University’s network estate including wired, wireless, routing, switching and security capabilities. The role includes hands‑on engineering, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating closely with colleagues across IT to ensure high‑quality service delivery.

You will also contribute to major upcoming modernisation programmes such as the campus‑wide Wi‑Fi refresh and the replacement of core data centre switching infrastructure, helping shape the next generation of our network services.

About You

You will have significant experience of administering and supporting a Cisco based network environment. You will have a customer focused approach to problem solving with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions. You will continuously improve processes, automation, resilience and performance, operating within an ITIL service model and Agile product environment.
