People Services HR Admin – Helpdesk

Help Shape the Future of People Services  a People Services HR Admin – Helpdesk you’ll be the first point of contact for HR queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses while supporting key HR processes across the business.

We have two full‑time, hybrid roles on a 12‑month secondment basis. You will work at least two days in the office per week, supporting the team with a dynamic and rewarding experience that leverages your organisational skills, attention to detail, and customer‑focused mindset.

  • Customer Service Excellence – Resolve queries via phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions with a first‑time success stance.
  • HR Coordination – Act as the central point for HR queries, managing contracts, pensions, healthcare, recruitment and policy advice.
  • Process Management – Administer HR documentation and maintain accurate employee records in line with policy and compliance.
  • Absence & Performance Support – Assist with absence management processes and probationary reviews.
  • Reward & ER Support – Support transactional reward activities and provide Tier 1 guidance on Employee Relations policies.
  • Continuous Improvement – Suggest innovations to improve HR processes and embrace our culture of collaboration and service excellence.
What you'll bring
  • Qualifications – Working towards CIPD Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience – Proven experience in administration or a similar role, with strong customer service skills.
  • Technical Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office; good data entry and typing skills.
  • Knowledge – Understanding of HR policies, employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Communication – Confident verbal and written skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Organisation – Ability to prioritise effectively and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability – A flexible approach to change and a positive attitude towards new challenges.
