Catering Assistant

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Meriden CE Primary School, Fillongley Rd, Meriden, Coventry CV7 7LW

Salary: £24,413 - £24,796 pro rata, per annum - 8 hours per week, term time 38.6 weeks = £4,474.41

Working 8 hours a week, Monday - Friday, Term Time only, this role could be ideal to fit in around your caring responsibilities. You will assist with serving our healthy award-winning meals, made from locally sourced, high quality ingredients, whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen. Your duties will include basic food preparation, preparing counters and the dining room for service, operating the cashless till system, and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with serving healthy award-winning meals, made from locally sourced, high quality ingredients, whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen.
  • Basic food preparation.
  • Preparing counters and the dining room for service.

  • Cleaning duties.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willing to complete and pass it within the first 12 months of service.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self-motivation.
