Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our newly transformed eating disorders service. The post holder will join a multi-disciplinary team working to provide good quality and compassionate care to people with eating disorders and their carers.
The role will focus on the provision of evidence-based psychology pathways across the community service with an opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new day service for adults with eating disorders.
Responsibilities- Join a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate care to people with eating disorders and their carers.
- Provide evidence-based psychology pathways across the community service and play a key role in the development of a new day service for adults.
- Work in collaboration with other members of the Eating Disorders Service as part of the team providing community treatment for people with eating disorders.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Trust-wide service for adult patients with eating disorders and their carers, including the development of a new day service.
- Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention (individual and group) in accordance with the evidence base.
- Provide clinical supervision for team members.
- Provide consultation to colleagues within the Trust.
- Undertake research, audit and service evaluation.
- Provide training to the eating disorders team and other services.
- Participate in personal CPD.
Applications from newly qualified/soon to qualify clinicians would therefore be welcomed. If you do not yet meet the criteria for the band 8a role, we will also support applications from candidates who meet the criteria for the band 7 role and job description. The successful candidate would be appointed to a development post role at band 7 and provided opportunities and support to progress to a band 8a role upon successful completion of a preceptorship program, expected within a period of two years.
