Role Overview
This role is for someone with lived experience of receiving inpatient care and can represent our learning disability and/or neurodiverse communities. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable using their experiences, empathy and understanding to help others and to inspire hope and recovery.
QualificationsAs this is a senior role, you will need a peer support qualification and have completed or be willing to complete the PSW supervisor training.
ResponsibilitiesAs a senior PSW you will support and provide supervision to more junior PSWs to help them safely navigate and thrive in the role. You will also work alongside ward teams to prepare for this unique new role.
Your impact will be wide-reaching. As well as working alongside a number of multidisciplinary teams, you'll work closely with the Recovery and Wellbeing Academy, which delivers educational courses and workshops to anyone over the age of 18 living in Coventry and Warwickshire. You will contribute to the co‑creation and delivery of these workshops and support more junior members of the team to do the same.
