Overview
Interested in working with individuals recovering from a stroke in Warwickshire? This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, organised and enthusiastic individual to join the community stroke service across north Warwickshire as a generic rehabilitation assistant. The post is for our North Warwickshire Team based at Wayside House. You will work with a large team of therapists from different disciplines to provide timely and targeted care to patients in their own homes in line with national stroke guidelines, with ongoing support from the multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for patient‑centred care and is a real team player. Some experience of working within a healthcare setting is desirable, but more importantly a passion for working with people, excellent communication skills, flexibility, good time management and organisational skills are essential for this post.
To support the therapists and work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide a high quality Stroke service within South Warwickshire. To provide some administrative support to the department.
Responsibilities- Work with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians and psychologists to deliver high quality, person‑centred care.
- Provide timely and targeted care to patients in their own homes in line with national stroke guidelines.
- Support therapists as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high quality Stroke service within South Warwickshire.
- Provide administrative support to the department as needed.
- Some experience of working within a healthcare setting is desirable.
- Passion for working with people.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, good time management and strong organisational skills.
