We are seeking a driven and dedicated individual to fill the role of Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner. In this position you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care across a variety of settings and will work alongside other members of the organisation and wider health and social care team.
Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, and delivering care to patients across various age groups and clinical conditions, ensuring the highest standard of treatment and support. - Safely manage undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations using data gathering, assessment for red flags, investigation, diagnosis, management, and review within agreed scope of practice.
- Demonstrate complex clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills across a wide range of contexts and presentations, including physical, mental, and social problems.
- Maintain a sound understanding of referral pathways, including routine, urgent, 2‑week wait and emergency admissions.
- Use resources appropriately and effectively, manage acute/chronic presentations and medical complexity.
- Provide consultation via telephone, video, online and face‑to‑face modes safely and effectively.
- Prescribe treatment and medication safely in line with local and national guidelines where professional regulation permits.
- Offer personalised care to patients and signpost to, and link with, other members of the team or wider health and social care network.
- Provide accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of patient consultations in line with legislation, policies and procedures.
- Support the practice’s on‑call triage system.
- Manage pathology results and clinical documents in accordance with capability level and organisational policies.
- Provide health promotion and patient education to support healthier lifestyle and self‑care.
- Actively manage urgent situations, providing effective emergency care, including BLS, anaphylaxis management, and AED use.
- Communicate effectively, including with patients who need additional assistance, and uphold equality, diversity, and safeguarding policies.
- MSc Advanced Practice from a recognised university or credentialing via RCN, or completion of HEE pathway with a digital badge.
- Health Assessment qualification.
- Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification.
- Registered with the NMC.
- Experience working in community/primary care and managing long‑term conditions.
- Experience implementing and using protocols and clinical guidelines.
