Female Support Worker - Crymych, Pembrokeshire
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join Mencap’s team in Crymych, providing support for people with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily activities and personal care.
- Provide emotional and social support to individuals.
- Work within a diverse group, building meaningful relationships.
- Maintain a flexible shift schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Adhere to 24‑hour care schedules and prepare rosters at least four weeks in advance.
- Take up sleep‑in duties when available, earning an enhanced flat rate of £63.70.
- Passion for supporting others and a genuine desire to improve lives.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build caring relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Full UK driving licence and a reliable vehicle.
- Pass an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references.
Contract options:
- Full‑time: 37.5 hours per week
- Part‑time: 16–30 hours per week
£12.60 per hour plus a range of employee benefits, including pension, holiday buying and training opportunities.
24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro‑rata for part‑time).
