Receptionist, Healthcare

We are looking for one or two Receptionists to join our friendly and fast-paced GP Surgery team in Coventry. This is a part-time role working across both of our sites
:
Green Lane (Finham) and Harnall Lane (Hillfields).

To keep the wheels turning smoothly, you’ll need to be able to work flexibly between 07:30 and 18:30 depending on the rota. A full driving licence and access to a car is preferred
, as you may be required to move between sites on the same day to support staffing levels.

Main duties of the job / job description -

• Deal with patient enquiries, on the phone and face to face, makingappointments as necessary.
• Signpost calls to various internal/external roles within the PCN, be confident in your ability to signpost (with appropriate training)
• Carry out requests for repeat prescriptions.
• Complete the appropriate paperwork for all new patient registrationsensuring that all information is clear and accurate to prevent delays inregistering.
• Follow the procedures for opening and closing the surgery.
• Assist with tasks such as assigning electronic results to GPs,monitoring them, and actioning any requests made by the GPs within appropriatetimescales.
• Check the Surgery email on a regular basis to ensure any requests arequickly picked up and actioned accordingly.
• Incoming post to be opened and scanned/filed into patient computerrecords using the DOCMAN system.
• Register patients for on-line appointment bookings.
• To undertake any other tasks/duties as determined by the Doctors,Receptionist Manager & Practice Manager in accordance with this grade ofpost.

• GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths

• Experience of working in primary care
• Experience of working in a GP practice
