Job Title - Domiciliary Care Worker – Complex Care
Contract Type - Bank
Location - Coventry and Warwickshire surrounding areas
Rate of Pay - £13 per hour
Reporting to
Care Co-ordinator / Registered Manager
To deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred complex domiciliary care to individuals in their own homes, including people living with brain injuries and clinical care needs, enabling them to live with dignity, independence, and comfort.
Key Responsibilities Complex and Clinical Care- Supporting individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries
- Providing care involving PEG feeding, in line with training and care plans
- Supporting and monitoring catheter care
- Observing, monitoring, and accurately reporting any changes in a service user’s condition
- Following detailed care plans, risk assessments, and clinical guidance at all times
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, and continence care
- Supporting mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and safe moving and handling techniques
- Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration
- Assisting with light domestic tasks as required
- Providing emotional support, reassurance, and companionship
- Supporting individuals with cognitive, behavioural, or communication difficulties
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and respect at all times
- Completing daily care records accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and family members
- Reporting concerns promptly in line with safeguarding procedures
- Working in accordance with CQC standards, company policies, and procedures
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Adhering to infection prevention and control measures
- Proven experience working within complex care
- Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries
- Competence in PEG feeding and catheter care (with relevant training)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Previous experience within domiciliary or community-based care
- £13 per hour
