Fixed term /Secondment opportunity –CRM Band 7

We are looking for a Senior Sister / Charge Nurse Band 7 to join our senior nursing team within CRM. The post holder should be an experienced nurse, who has excellent leadership and clinical skills and is able to effectively act as a team leader, they must have extensive experience within the specialty of fertility medicine providing clinical leadership and management support to ensure high standards of care, objectives and targets are met.

They will work collaboratively within the multi‑disciplinary team in the Centre for Reproductive Medicine to meet the needs of our service users, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to cover all aspects of CRM management and continue to work clinically.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work in a challenging environment.

Secondment will be considered for internal candidates – If you are successful after interview, you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

The successful candidate will manage the CRM unit and work clinically in the unit.

They will work alongside the Modern Matron and all the MDT team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a service that is patient centred as well as establishing a supportive relationship with patients, ensuring their rights, dignity and confidentiality are protected at all times.
  • Support the multidisciplinary team in line with Trust and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) standards and ensure government initiatives are embedded in the service.
  • Support and enable patients to make informed decisions relating to their treatment and management.
  • Instigate and adjust treatments within set guidelines. To undertake management and support of complex treatment options to ensure best care.
  • Manage nurse led clinics and baseline assessments, formulating clinical management plans. To undertake specialist investigations, interpret results and initiate appropriate action and to participate in Multidisciplinary clinics.
  • Utilise all local and national information and ICT systems to secure accurate and timely resource data.
  • Contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
  • Have highly developed communication skills enabling maintenance of a high quality service within a complex and challenging environment with often, conflicting targets.
