The Role

As a Senior Tax Adviser
, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex tax projects such as corporate reorganisations, employee share incentives, and in corporations. You’ll implement strategies to reduce tax liabilities, identify further mitigation opportunities, and ensure compliance with current legislation. This position also involves mentoring junior team members and maintaining strong client relationships through clear, strategic advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist with detailed project plans for restructures and tax projects
  • Manage completion of projects, including HMRC filings and stakeholder communication
  • Prepare comprehensive tax analysis and steps plans referencing legislation and case law
  • Review work completed by Tax Advisers and Junior Tax Advisers for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide strategic tax advice and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support, coach, and mentor team members, conducting appraisals where required
  • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and accounting standards through CPD
  • Contribute to revenue growth and cost efficiency
Required Qualifications & Attributes
  • CTA qualified or equivalent
  • High-level expertise in direct taxes:
    Corporation Tax, Income Tax, CGT, Stamp Taxes, Inheritance Tax, Employment Taxes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and process-driven approach
  • Ability to research and advise on complex tax matters
  • Solutions-focused mindset and commitment to client service
