Head of Finance – Event Support Team

Location: Head Office – School Lane, Exhall, CV7 9GE

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent, Office Based

We’re entering one of the most exciting periods in our journey to date – and as part of this growth, we are creating a brand‑new Head of Finance position
. This is your chance to build and shape a finance function in your own vision, rather than simply inheriting one.

This isn’t a back‑office role.

As Head of Finance
, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, partnering directly with the Managing Director and Board as we head into our biggest business year so far.

You will:

• set and deliver financial strategy for a growing business
• design the finance function around best practice
• bring insight and challenge to senior decision‑making

You’ll have a genuine voice in the direction of the company — influencing investment, growth, profitability, and the way we operate day‑to‑day.

This role is perfect for:

• an experienced Head of Finance wanting more autonomy,
  or
• a high‑performing Financial Controller ready to step up and own the full function

You will take full ownership of the finance function and will be instrumental in shaping how it operates. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and leading end‑to‑end finance operations, controls, and risk management
• Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management as we scale
• Producing clear, insightful monthly management accounts that guide Board decisions
• Driving financial strategy and modelling to support growth and investment opportunities
• Managing statutory accounts, VAT, tax compliance, and audit processes
• Overseeing payroll and ensuring adherence to financial and employment regulations
• Strengthening governance and internal controls as the business enters its next phase
• Building, mentoring and developing the finance team around you

This is a hands‑on leadership role — strategic at Board level while still close enough to the numbers to make things happen.

• are a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
• have experience leading or significantly contributing to a finance function
• combine strong technical skills with commercial thinking
• thrive in fast‑paced, growing, operational environments such as logistics, events or similar (desirable, not essential)
• enjoy creating structure, improving systems and putting your own stamp on things
