Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in Coventry.

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your role will involve coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting and researching technical accounting issues for compliance. You will also support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring quality control over all financial transactions and reporting. This role requires a dependable individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
What the successful candidate will bring
  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • Understanding of corporation tax, statutory accounting, and VAT
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
