The Opportunity

We’re working with a growing specialist property lender to appoint an experienced Bridging Underwriter. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys assessing property‑backed transactions, working closely with brokers and internal teams, and progressing cases from application through to completion.

You’ll operate in a fast‑paced lending environment where sound judgement, commercial thinking, and strong stakeholder management are essential.

• Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications in line with credit policy
• Analyse borrower profiles, security, valuations, and exit strategies
• Prepare clear credit proposals and recommendations
• Review valuations, legal due diligence and supporting documentation
• Liaise with brokers, solicitors, valuers, and internal stakeholders
• Progress cases efficiently from application to completion
• Maintain accurate records and support service‑level delivery

• Experience underwriting bridging or short‑term property finance
• Strong understanding of UK lending regulation and credit risk
• Ability to assess complex property transactions with confidence
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Clear communicator, comfortable managing broker relationships
• Ability to manage a varied caseload in a deadline‑driven environment
