We’re looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful, technically challenging projects while being supported by a friendly, highly skilled Engineering team.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective control solutions that meet the needs of our clients across the UK. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

• Developing robust and commercially sound control system designs that meet client requirements and comply with all relevant standards.
• Identifying emerging technologies and incorporating innovative solutions that bring value to both the business and the customer.
• Producing detailed designs, specifications, schematics, GA drawings and BOMs.
• Leading FAT testing, supporting Sales with technical expertise, and attending design reviews.
• Visiting customer sites to support commissioning (hardware) and SAT testing.
• Collaborating closely with Software Engineers to produce accurate Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
• Working cross‑functionally across the business to ensure smooth handovers, continuous improvement, and technical consistency.
• Contributing to internal development by streamlining processes and reducing waste.
• Supporting Engineering team colleagues when required.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands‑on engineering, problem solving, and working in a collaborative technical environment. You’ll bring:

• Solid experience in hardware electrical design for MCCs (DOL, ASD, Soft Start, VSD), switch gear, control panels or LV distribution.
• Experience working within a Systems Integration environment.
• Strong knowledge of BS EN 61439, BS EN 60204, and the 18th Edition BS 7671.
• Ability to design, specify, install, and commission equipment with internal or external resources.
• Competency in producing detailed electrical schematics and layouts.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
