We are seeking an innovative Senior Estimator to support our work on the National Grid Great Grid Upgrade (GGP Framework), a programme delivering some of the most exciting and strategically important schemes in the UK energy sector.

• Support the pre-construction team in preparing competitive design & build tenders
• Liaise with planners, design managers and preconstruction managers to develop innovative bid solutions
• Identify market trends, risks and opportunities
• Produce accurate net estimates aligned with Morgan Sindall standards

• Proven experience pricing schemes valued £10m+
• Knowledge of Energy Transmission, with exposure to substations, overhead lines or cabling preferred although not essential
• Minimum HNC qualification
• Strong ability to take off quantities
• Proficient in Conquest estimating software
• Strong Excel skills and ability to produce high-quality analytical reports
• Experience in cost planning
• Solid understanding of construction technology and modern techniques

• Above- and below-ground electricity infrastructure
• Cable laying, jointing (fluid filled and XLPE), and excavation
• Substation construction and refurbishment
• Overhead line works
