Resident Engineer - Materials Handling Equipment

Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 (40 Hours) or £36,000 - £42,500 (45 Hours)

Are you a Multi skilled engineer looking for a site-based role with consistency, stability, and support? We are seeking a Resident Engineer to join a leading materials handling business, based full-time at a key customer site in Leicester. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and a range of other Material Handling Equipment (MHE), ensuring minimal downtime and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities of the Resident Engineer:

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on a range of Material handling equipment
• Diagnose faults and identify cost-effective solutions
• Build strong working relationships with the onsite team and customer
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with health & safety standards

Key Requirements of the Resident Engineer:

• Strong engineering background - ideally from forklifts, automotive/vehicles, plant, or similar
• Recognised engineering qualification - Ideally Level 3 (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
