Validation Engineer – MHEV / Hybrid Powertrain

We are recruiting a Validation Engineer to support MHEV and hybrid powertrain systems across system validation, fault diagnosis and vehicle testing activities. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to candidates with strong experience in ICE and mild hybrid propulsion systems.

Key responsibilities:

* System-level validation and verification of ICE and MHEV powertrain systems

* Fault diagnosis and issue resolution at vehicle and system level

* Supporting vehicle build, PIL and test activities

* Creation of DVPs, test cases, procedures and requirements

* Use of diagnostic and data analysis tools including INCA, CANalyzer, Corvus, MATLAB, Pico Scope and MDA

* Working in rig, lab and vehicle test environments

* Applying systems engineering and structured problem-solving approaches

Essential experience:

* Validation or testing experience within automotive powertrain, propulsion or hybrid systems

* Knowledge of ICE, MHEV or hybrid vehicle systems

* Hands-on use of INCA and/or CANalyzer

* Experience with vehicle testing, system validation or powertrain integration

* Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills

Desirable:

* Experience with Agile or Scrum, JIRA

* Electrical engineering or battery system awareness

* Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methods
