SEN Teaching Assistant

AMJ Recruitments Education Division is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming and supportive school in Coventry.

This is more than just a role it's an opportunity to positively impact the development, confidence, and wellbeing of children who require tailored support.

Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).

Experience: Strong experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis in a primary school setting.

Skills: Experience supporting SEN, including ASD and Speech, Language & Communication Needs.

Location: Coventry

Pay: £95 to £105 per day

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
• Support children with ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, or behavioral challenges
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Help implement EHCP targets
• Encourage emotional regulation and social development
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

• Has experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, or similar setting)
• Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Understands safeguarding responsibilities
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
• Experience supporting children with autism or non-verbal pupils is highly desirable.
