School Attendance Officer

• Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-Term Hours: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a committed and caring Attendance Officer to join a supportive All-Through School in Coventry on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. This is a key role within the School, supporting student engagement, safeguarding and overall attendance improvement.

To be a successful candidate you must:

• Demonstrate a calm, professional and resilient approach
• Have previous experience working within a School/education setting
• Be willing to drive and conduct home visits (Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are required for this role)

• Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils well-being following DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025 document)
• Conducting home visits to support families and address attendance concerns
• Monitoring and analysing daily attendance data
• Maintaining accurate records and reports in line with school and local authority expectations
• Building positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies
