Teacher Active are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Coventry, who are looking to appoint a Class Teacher on a full-time basis.

Rather than recruiting for a fixed year group, the school are keen to appoint the right teacher for their setting. Following an interview and, where applicable, an observation lesson, the school will decide which year group best suits the successful candidate, based on experience, teaching style, and strengths.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both ECTs and experienced teachers who are looking for a long-term role where they can truly make an impact.

The Role:

The successful candidate will take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher, including:

Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum

Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress

Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners

Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders

Taking part in staff meetings, planning, and school life where required

‍ The Ideal Candidate :

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Is confident planning and delivering lessons independently

Is adaptable and open to teaching across different year groups

Is organised, reflective, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

Is an ECT or experienced teacher seeking a full-time opportunity

Is happy to work through Teacher Active and be paid via PAYE

✅ Compliance Requirements:

A DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through Teacher Active

Ability to provide two professional references to complete compliance
