SEN Teacher – Special School – Coventry
Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine impact on the lives of pupils with additional needs? This welcoming specialist school in Coventry is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their team, teaching small classes of students with moderate to complex learning needs, including Autism, MLD and communication difficulties.
Teaching no more than 8 learners at a time, you’ll enjoy the chance to build strong relationships, tailor lessons, and see the difference you make every day.
Job Role- Teaching and planning for a small class of students with moderate to complex learning needs
- Creating an engaging, supportive and structured learning environment
- Differentiating lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and communication profiles
- Working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support
- Building rapport with pupils and promoting confidence, independence and progress
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and senior leaders
- QTS or QTLS
- Previous experience of working with SEND, ideally Autism, MLD or complex needs
- Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach
- A commitment to inclusive practice and personalised learning
- Small class sizes with excellent TA support
