Part-Time Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and supportive Functional Skills Maths and English Tutor to join work on a part-time basis. You will deliver engaging, learner-focused sessions to support students in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications and developing confidence in essential numeracy and literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver high-quality Functional Skills Maths and English lessons (Entry Level to Level
2)

* Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learner needs

* Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback

* Prepare learners for assessments and exams

* Maintain accurate records in line with organisational requirements

* Provide a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

* Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 3/4 Award in Education & Training) or willingness to work towards one

* Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above

* Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths and/or English

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to motivate and engage learners with varying abilities

Desirable

* Experience working with learners with additional needs

* Assessing qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent)

* Experience delivering online or blended learning
