As a Switchboard Operator with ISS UK, you will act as an ambassador for both ISS and our clients, managing incoming calls and enquiries while delivering a courteous, accurate, and seamless service experience.
This important role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clear communication, builds positive relationships, and ensures every caller receives a professional and helpful response.
The Role- Manage all incoming calls in a professional, polite, and timely manner
- Direct calls accurately to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Handle enquiries confidently, providing clear and accurate information
- Take and relays messages promptly, ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of site contacts, departments, and procedures
- Support administrative tasks where required
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues to ensure smooth communication across teams
- Maintain a calm and professional approach when handling high call volumes or urgent situations
- Excellent telephone manner with strong verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer service
- Friendly, approachable, and professional with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure
- A supportive team player who can also work independently when required
